Beautiful vintage holy water font hand carved with image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in center and etchings around perimeter. Above her is the Sacred Heart of Jesus in pastel colors of pink, green and yellow onyx marble.
Signature of Artist: name is on back which includes a drawing (see photos).
Age: circa 1940
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Spanish Neustra Senora de Guadalupe also called the Virgin of Guadalupe, the Virgin Mary in Roman Catholicism appeared before St Juan Diego in a vision in 1531.
Gemstone: I believe the Holy Water Font is hand carved from Onyx Marble also called Alabaster.
Measurements: Height is approximately 7 1/2”. Width is approximately 4 3/4”.
Condition: preowned and antique. Has not been cleaned except to wipe minor dust from item. Tiny nicks here and there which are appropriate given its age. Metal ring to hang on wall intact but metal has tarnished. Please see photos for detailed description. Photos are part of the item description.
