A 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" color photo of Astronaut John Glenn entering Mercury-Atlas 6 Spacecraft Friendship 7 entering the capsule.  The photo is matted in a standard 11" x 14" white mat that comes with a cut signature of John Glenn and a 3-inch embroidered dated mission patch, and an embroidered 4" patch commemorating Glenn's mission.  A clear, lightweight plastic bag provides a protective cover.
John Glenn was the first American to orbit the Earth, circling it three times on February 20, 1962.  In 1998, while still a sitting senator, Glenn flew Space Shuttle Discovery's STS-95 mission making him, at the age of 77, the oldest person to fly in space and the only person to fly in both Mercury and the Space Shuttle programs.  Glenn, both the oldest and the last surviving member of the Mercury Seven, died at the age of 96 in 2016.
